June 10: Talk with teachers about how engaging classrooms are created

The public is invited to talk with a dozen DCPS Teacher Leaders about how engaging and student-centered classrooms are created.   The teachers will share tips including using playful movements to help kids grasp science concepts, using oral history projects to hook kids into studying history, and using the Age of Enlightenment to talk about current events.   The setting will be informal, with various stations set up around the room.

The event takes place Wednesday, June 10 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, at Charles Sumner School Museum & Archives (1201 17th Street, NW).   RSVP via email, sammy@inspiredteaching.org.
