May 2: Participate in the Tenant Town Hall

Latino Economic Development Center (LEDC) is holding the 8th Annual Tenant Town Hall Saturday, May 2 from Noon - 3:00 pm at All Souls Unitarian Church (1500 Harvard St NW, corner of 16th/Harvard Sts NW).

The areas of focus of the event―under the broad umbrella of fighting for tenant rights and affordable housing―are strengthening rent control, supporting tenant purchase and the city's Tenant Opportunity to Purchase Act (TOPA), and the preservation of subsidized housing.

12-1 PM: Refreshments. Time for tenants to speak with Council staff, DC housing agency representatives, legal service providers and non-profit organizations.

1-3 PM: Presentation of Tenant Priorities for 2015 and responses from elected officials and agency directors.

Interpretation provided in Spanish and Amharic.
