New report contains a wealth of data on 54 neighborhoods in DC

The DC Economic Partnership has released their annual DC Neighborhood Profile (PDF) report.   The report "highlights demographics of the 54 identified neighborhoods in the District of Columbia including population, households, income, age, and consumer expenditures."   (Read the full press release).   The report also includes information about the "number of grocery stores, cultural, or art highlights and provides detailed data and market intelligence."

While the report is designed for the business sector—WDCEP released the report at Mid-Atlantic International Council of Shopping Center conference—the reports provide a tremendous amount of information valuable to advocates, residents, nonprofits, and others.

The associated 54 Reasons to Love DC Interactive Map contains a map (duh), a photo for each of the 54 neighborhoods, and a neighborhood summary clearly written for the business and entrepreneurial set.
