Attendees will focus on Advocacy Across the Lifespan, offering interactive issue advocacy training and tips for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families. Attendees will also be updated about progress in advancing person and family centered thinking, starting up a D.C. Parent to Parent chapter, and establishing a Family Support Council to advise government agencies.

The meetings are convened by the Department on Disability Services, the Developmental Disabilities Council, the Georgetown University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities, Project ACTION!, the Quality Trust for Individuals with Disabilities, and Health Services for Children with Special Needs.
