D.C. Speak: How Washingtonians Talk Mar. 27

D.C. Speak: How Washingtonians Talk takes place March 27 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at The Coupe (3415 11th St NW).   The event is sponsored by the Humanities Council of Washington, DC.

According to the Humanities Council,

This active happy hour will engage Washingtonians in dialogue about understanding DC's culture through its unique language known as DC Speak. The panel will examine how it developed, how it has changed over time and how it contributes to the building of community in Washington. The panelists through a brief presentation will also demonstrate what is meant by DC Speak. The evening will also feature the Council's signature drink (yes, its a real drink!) and other happy hour menu specials offered by The Coupe.
