Community transportation visioning starting June 6

Move DC is the city's online portal concerning all things transportation visioning and reform.

But it's the work behind this robust online presence that is incredibly important: Starting June 6, Move DC (coordinated by DDOT) will host numerous community input events about the future of transportation in DC.   And not just one mode of transportation will be considered.   Rather, the public workshops―Ideas on Choices―will consider bus (Metro and Circulator), Metro Rail, automobile, sidewalks, streetcar, and biking.

Four meetings are scheduled throughout the District (all the same, just different locations and times):

  • June 6, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Lamond Riggs Library (5401 South Dakota Ave NE)
  • June 8, 10:00 am - Noon, Anacostia Library (1800 Good Hope Rd SE)
  • June 11, all day (specifics TBA), Union Station
  • June 13, 6:30 - 8:30 pm, Georgetown Library (3260 R St NW)
