Community forums on arts funding

(UPDATED 11/7 7am; name of DCCAH corrected) The DC Commission on Arts and Humanities (DCCAH) is hosting two fora to hear from the community their ideas for the increased FY 2013 funding for the commission.   The forums are being held November 8 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at UDC (Building 44, Room A05, map here) and November 14 from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at DCCAH (200 I St SE in the conference room; photo ID required to enter the building).

The focus of both events is to discuss the agency's new grant program, the Arts Stabilization Grant (ASG).   ASG is one-time funding to support cultural organizations that have demonstrated a long-term impact within the District of Columbia.   ASG provides general operating funds to arts and humanities organizations whose primary function is exhibition, presentation or training in the arts and humanities.
