A few more words on TANF time limit bill and public hearing

First, if you missed the hearing on B18-1061, "District of Columbia Public Assistance Amendment Act of 2010", you can watch it on demand at OCT.

Next, At-large CM Michael Brown, member of the Committee on Human Services, had this to say at the beginning of the hearing.   He is not a fan of the legislation and would prefer an approach that requires the government to provide quality services and supports people need.

Advocate Amy Loudermilk testified about the devastating impact of the bill as written on domestic violence victims.

Finally, I tweeted throughout the hearing.   The tweets are here.
