DYRS releases issue brief on juvenile justice system improvements, challenges

On June 28, the Department of Youth Rehabilitation Services (DYRS) released an issue brief on public safety.   The pub--which is not on the DYRS web site--offers examples of how the juvenile justice agency is doing more to serve young people and their families and at the same time protect the public than has ever been done by the agency before.   The issue brief concludes with the question, "How do we balance the portrayals of young people and crime in the media?"

Thanks to Jason Ziedenberg for sharing the publication on the JJ Google list.
