Interested in learning how to connect with Council staffers? The media?

Having relationships with the legislative and executive branches, doing effective outreach and having solid relationships with the media are the topics of four workshops in June by Diana Winthrop and me.

We will share information and strategies community-based organizations can use to skill-up in advocacy and media relations.   This is information we have gathered and used over years; it is worth its weight in gold.

The workshops scheduled are:

• June 3, 9:00 - 10:30 am:   Getting to know and maintaining relationships with Council staff
• June 10, 9:00 - 10:30 am:   Getting to know and maintaining relationships with exec branch staffers
• June 17, 9:00 - 10:30 am:   Having an effective relationship with local media
• June 24, 9:00 - 11:00 am:   Outreach that actually reaches out
