The highlights of the budget news are:
- Public hearings will be held from April 7 to May 6 with the rest of may devoted to making revisions. The Council is scheduled to vote on the budget June 7.
- The FY 2012 budget process will be as transparent as possible. The chairman has promised quick posting of budget documents following the hearings.
- A budget questionnaire is posted on the Council's budget page. The Council wants the community to offer comments and suggestions "to reduce government waste and increase efficiency."
