Not-too-sweet buttermilk sugar cookies
I am helping my mother make cookies for her library association's holiday cookie sale. I've baked Christmas cookies for years and have a list of favorites. But this year I wanted something different, and since I am helping, my mother wanted something different. My recent infatuation with buttermilk led me to these Buttermilk Sugar Cookies. UPDATE: We added 1/8 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp cinnamon. We increased vanilla to 3 tsp, cinnamon to 1 tsp and nutmeg to a little more than 1/8 tsp. They are not too sweet which is nice. If you are looking for something different to bake this holiday season or anytime, give them a try.
