DC students celebrate World Statistics Day October 20
Who knew there was such a day? Not me until I saw a press release announcing that U.S. Census Bureau Director Robert M. Groves will celebrate the first-ever World Statistics Day October 20 by speaking to a 12th grade math class at Eastern High School (1700 E Capitol St NE). The day was designated by the United Nations General Assembly and Groves will highlight the role of official statistics and the many achievements of national statistical systems.
