September is National Infant Mortality Awareness Month

DC's Healthy Start Community Consortium has planned an event-filled month to educate the community about the ways to reduce infant mortality.   Events include the DC Healthy Start Community Consortium Meeting on September 15 from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at Brookland Manor Recreation Center (2525 14th St NE).   Other events include a 5K run/walk on September 16 and a September 23 briefing to "Celebrate Day 366."   Details about the events are available from Melinda Fallen (442-9171, 309-2000, and melinda.fallen@dc.gov).
