Ward 7 Health Council -- first meeting, June 14

Ward 7 CM Yvette Alexander and the United Medical Center Foundation are hosting the first Ward 7 Health Council meeting on June 14 from 6:30 - 8:30 pm at the Boys & Girls Club #14/Richard England Clubhouse (4103 Benning Rd NE).   The public, especially those in the business and nonprofit sectors concerned with health, is encouraged to participate.

According to the announcement from the CM, "The Ward 7 Health Council’s main goal will be to educate and facilitate activities that promote healthy eating and active living among Ward 7 residents. . . In addition, this event will serve as the initial campaign to provide Ward 7 residents with health related assistance."
