Mayor establishes Mayor’s Health Reform Implementation Committee

On May 28, Mayor Fenty signed MO 2010-97 creating the Mayor’s Health Reform Implementation Committee whose purpose is to advise the Mayor on implementation of the federal Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, approved March 23, 2010 (Pub. L. 111-148; 124 Stat. 119) and the Health Care and Education Reconciliation Act of 2010, approved March 30, 2010 (Pub. L. 111-152; 124 Stat. 1029).   Members of the committee include government agency staff who have some role and responsibility for health care, insurance, and compliance in the city.   The Committee shall sunset on January 31, 2014.
