The Great Education Debate, June 28

Young Education Professionals-DC (YEP-DC) has just announced The Great Education Debate will be held June 28 at 7:00 pm at Navy Memorial and Naval Heritage Center auditorium (701 Pennsylvania Ave NW, Suite 123) (accessible via Archives-Navy Memorial-Penn Quarter Station).

The event is an opportunity for the Democratic mayoral candidates Mayor Adrian Fenty and DC Council Chairman Vincent Gray to discuss and debate the education issues, challenges and opportunities facing DC this year and ahead.   From turnaround strategies and teacher effectiveness to early childhood education and high school reform, all education issues will be put on the table for a robust and rich discussion.

About Young Education Professionals-DC:   YEP-DC is a DC-based network created by and for young professionals who want to connect around their common interests in education policy, research and practice in a nonpartisan environment.   The group has over 1,000 members and is growing rapidly.
