Event and other ideas for Child Abuse Prevention Month

As was previously announced on this blog, April is Child Abuse Prevention Month.   All across the city, organizations are planning ways to observe the important issue.   In 2009 alone, more than 3,900 children and youth were found to be victims of child abuse and neglect.   The effects can be long lasting, overwhelming, and destructive.

But we can prevent child abuse and neglect.   If you are interested in learning more about what your organization can do to participate in the month and beyond to prevent child maltreatment, take a look at this list of suggestions from CFSA.
