Scrapbookers unite for foster kids!

DC’s Child and Family Services Agency has put a call out to the region to help children and youth in foster care know their past – by making Life Books.

Life Books for Children is an initiative of CFSA and the community.   The purpose of a life book is to make sure that a child knows his/her history.   It helps them to understand and make sense of some of the multiple changes that they have experienced.   Most importantly, it is a way that we honor the child’s life and his/her memories.

You can help by donating the usual scrapbooking items such as albums and journals, embellishments, writing/drawing utensils, scissors, glue, and more!

If you are interested in making donations to support this innovative and incredibly powerful project, contact CFSA’s Partners for Kids in Care by October 15 (details in the flier linked above).
