NBM's Greening the Ghetto, and How Much It Won’t Cost Us

This free program from the National Building Museum is being held October 8, 12:30 - 1:30 pm.   The event will feature Majora Carter, founder of Sustainable South Bronx, who will talk about the revitalization of South Bronx’s Hunts Point.   What does this have to do with kids?   Carter will explain that greening the community is a way to bring social, economic, and environmental benefits to the entire community.   Registration is required.

The Greening the Ghetto program is part of the larger Green Community exhibit that is nearing the end of its run on October 25.   By all accounts, this is a terrific exhibit even if you only have a passing interest in green issues.
