Impact of foreclosures on renters subject of Council roundtable
Joint public oversight roundtable on the “Impact of Foreclosures on Home Ownership and Affordable Housing in the District of Columbia”, May 28, 10:30 am, JAWB, Council Chamber. This roundtable is convened by the Committee on Public Services and Consumer Affairs (Ward 4 CM Muriel Bowser, chair) and the Committee on Housing and Workforce Development (Ward 8 CM Marion Barry, chair). Central to this roundtable will be a review of a recent report by Peter Tatian at Urban, commissioned by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, on the impact of foreclosures on renters in DC. Government officials will outline their response to the current environment.
