Public opportunity to comment on mayor's anti-crime bill

The Committee on Public Safety and the Judiciary (Mendelson, chair) is holding a public hearing on Bill 18-138, “Omnibus Anti-Crime Amendment Act of 2009” on March 18 at 10:00 am in Room 412.    According to the hearing notice, the March 18 hearing is the first of two hearings on the legislation; witnesses can comment on any part of the bill on March 18.    The second hearing will focus on outstanding issues.    More info on the hearing from Heidi Tseu, (202) 724-8038, htseu[at]dccouncil[dot]us.
