Fenty's anti-crime bill - to improve safety for residents
On February 6, Mayor Fenty reintroduced his plans to improve public safety in the District of Columbia. According to the press release, this legislation is geared to "strengthening measures to limit gang activity, enforcing compliance among gun offenders, and cracking down on illegal gun possession."
